After the Disk has been erased, close the Disk utility and go back to the macOS. For Format choose Mac OS Extended (Journaled).
The kext disables temporal dithering on the local graphics card by changing internal driver settings. To disable temporal dithering, you must install an appropriate macOS Kernel Extension (‘kext’).
